BowTie publishes more than 40 consumer and business-to-business magazines including Dog Fancy, CAT FANCY, Horse Illustrated, Water Garden News, Pet Style News, Bird Talk and Hobby Farm Homes. The company’s websites include DogChannel.com, CatChannel.com, VetPracticeNews.com and PetProductNews.com, and the book division, BowTie Press, features such titles as “Proficient Motorcycling,” and “Enjoying Dog Agility.”

Marketing Internship
• Work directly with marketing managers to produce materials from magazine content, including sell sheets, postcards and other printed materials.
• Learn how to develop ideas conceptually.
• Assist the marketing team with creating printed marketing materials.
• Conduct Internet and market research for assigned projects.
• Attend and contribute to marketing and business meetings.
• Work on promotions and publicity under the marketing manager’s direction.
• Gain knowledge from professional marketing personnel by working alongside them.
• Complete 40 hours a week -- 8-hour days -- for 10 weeks.

Qualifications
• A college senior or recent graduate (up to two years post-graduation) in the area of marketing or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Aptitude in writing marketing materials and research.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and in groups.
