Magazine Editing Internship
• Work directly with magazine editors to produce magazine content, including idea conception, writing, editing freelance-written copy, photo selection and cover elements.
• Write and select art for at least one major feature to appear in a national magazine.
• Attend and contribute to editorial and team meetings.
• Gain knowledge from professional editors by working alongside them.
• Complete 40 hours a week -- 8-hour days -- for 10 weeks.
Website Editing Internship
• Work directly with magazine and website editors to produce website content, including idea conception, writing, editing freelance-written copy and photo selection.
• Write and select art for at least one major feature to appear in a national magazine.
• Attend and contribute to editorial, website and team meetings.
• Gain knowledge from professional editors by working alongside them.

Qualifications
• A college senior or recent graduate (up to two years post-graduation) in the area of journalism or a related field.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Quark 6.5 on a Macintosh OSX platform.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and in groups.
• Experience working with Powerpoint, HTML, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Website editors only.
