BowTie publishes more than 40 consumer and business-to-business magazines including Dog Fancy, CAT FANCY, Horse Illustrated, Water Garden News, Pet Style News, Bird Talk and Hobby Farm Homes.
Magazine Production Internship
• Work directly with production coordinators to receive and process display advertising, record ads, gather and interpret reports for publishing deadlines and place digital art into magazine pages.
• Learn how to interface with other departments including sales, editorial, marketing, prepress, art, accounting and printers.
• Attend and contribute to production and business meetings.
• Gain knowledge from professional coordinators by working alongside them.
• Complete 40 hours a week -- 8-hour days -- for 10 weeks.
Qualifications
• A college senior or recent graduate (up to two years post-graduation) in the area of business or a related field.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and knowledge of Quark 6.5 and Photoshop.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and in groups.
