The Art Director focuses on the art direction and production of a variety of marketing materials including, but not limited to, collateral pieces, giveaways, invitations, programs, gift bags, video presentations, ads, POP displays, sell sheets, banner advertising, and HTML email blasts. It is the responsibility of the Art Director to deliver effective, well-balanced designs that convey the message accurately within accordance to brand and department styles. This person will also prepare images and artwork for in-house scanning, correct proofed pages and prepare files for in-house digital pre-press, assist in the planning and preparation for corporate events, and assist in magazine design as needed.

• Bachelors degree in Art/Design or related field is preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in magazine/marketing art direction
• High level of design skills in MAC applications, especially Quark, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Some experience in digital prepress specifications in relation to magazine publishing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Effectively works within tight schedules to meet deadlines
• Conceptualizes layouts that deliver high-impact messages
