    Get Acrobat Reader

  • Macromedia Freehand 8 (MACINTOSH & WINDOWS)

Saving file as a 300dpi TIFF

  • Under the File pull-down menu click on the "Export" option. The Export dialog box will appear, choose TIFF as the "format". Click on the "Options" button (see Figure 11 below).

Adjust settings as shown (see Figure 12 below).

    Saving file as an EPS

  • To generate in EPS format, go to the File pull-down menu and select "Save as." In the dialog box choose "Editable EPS" as the "format" (see Figure 13 below).

Microsoft Word & Excel (MACINTOSH & WINDOWS)

Microsoft Word and Excel are not known for their graphic capabilities, however they can be used with moderate success to output simple, basic text-only ads. Before submission, Word .DOCs or .XLS files must be converted to a format that we can output.

  • In order to Postscript (PS) a document a Postscript printer driver is required. Printer driver information and assistance with creating Postscript files can be obtained by calling the tech support lines for your printer, computer, or Microsoft Tech Support.

  • After generating a Postscript file, fonts and images that are linked but not embedded must also be submitted.

  • See the entry on EPS formats in the above section entitled, "Graphic Formats," for more information about converting files into EPS or PS format.

    Microsoft PowerPoint (MACINTOSH & WINDOWS)

  • Due to limitations in the software, we do not accept PowerPoint files, no exceptions. Powerpoint is primarily an on-screen presentation builder. Image output is too low resolution for printed media.

    Microsoft Publisher 2000 (WINDOWS)

  • This is a Windows only application not operational on the Macintosh platform. Consult your software manual for assistance outputting a suitable file format (EPS or TIF) or contact Microsoft Technical Support.
