Introduction
The Preflight help-line is a service provided to assist advertisers submitting digital ad files. This line is staffed by a Preflight Specialist who will answer questions regarding Fancy's digital ad specifications. Fancy Publications does not have the resources to provide technical support for specific software packages or to assist novice computer users with basic computer tasks. Please consult your owner's manual or contact your software's technical support department for this information.
Fancy Publications manufacturing department is Macintosh platform based utilizing the following software packages:
QuarkXpress 4.11 thru 6.5
Adobe Photoshop 6 thru CS
Adobe Illustrator 9 thru CS
Adobe InDesign CS
The only native documents acceptable
are those generated from the above three software packages (and
previous versions if compatible). Native files generated from these
software packages are associated with the following file extensions:
QuarkXpress - .QXD, Adobe Illustrator - .AI, Adobe
Photoshop - .PSD. If ad has been created in an alternate
program, it must be saved in a format we can output. Acceptable
file formats are TIFF, EPS, or PDF. Most, if
not all, mainstream graphic programs will provide the option to
output files in at least one of these formats. For more information
on these and other graphic formats please see the section titled, "Graphic format," on the next page.
